Plovers over Waves
By the Picturepops™ team
Plovers skim over curling white waves in this navy pattern from a Japanese katagami stencil of the 1800s, with 'You & Me, together through every wave' inside. Stencils like this were cut from paper to dye cloth, and the plover over the sea comes from old poems about shore birds calling across the water. For the one who has weathered it all beside you.
