Your Own Little Mother

Pictures by Charles Copeland·Words by Carlo Collodi

Charles Copeland's Blue Fairy from Pinocchio, drawn in fine pen and ink, wishes a happy Mother's Day, with Carlo Collodi's line inside: "From now on, I'll be your own little mother." Copeland made these drawings in 1904 for an American edition of Collodi's tale of the puppet who longed to become a real boy. For the mother who made you real.
