Every Day a Saturday
Pictures by Charles CopelandWords by Carlo Collodi
Pinocchio and his friend set off for the Land of Toys in Charles Copeland's pen drawing, paired with Carlo Collodi's promise that there every day is a Saturday and vacation lasts all year. Copeland drew these pictures for an American edition of the tale in 1904, two decades after Collodi first told it in Florence. For someone whose long vacation is just beginning.
