Well Oiled
Pictures by W. W. DenslowWords by L. Frank Baum
W. W. Denslow's tinsmiths hammer the Tin Woodman back into shape while Dorothy and the Cowardly Lion look on, and inside he strides off with his oil-can and Baum's promise that, well oiled, he shall soon be all right again. The pictures come from the first edition of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, printed in Chicago in 1900, long before the film. For someone on the mend.
