The Moon's Voyage
Pictures by HokusaiWords by Prince Aki
Hokusai's Great Wave curls over small boats with Mount Fuji far behind, paired with Prince Aki's 8th-century poem of the moon sailing serenely through stormy, grey skies. Hokusai was one of the great masters of the Japanese woodblock print, and his waves went on to inspire Van Gogh and Monet. For someone weathering a storm, or setting out on a journey.

Inside, it says
The Moon is a barque on the sea of the skies, Where stormy and grey the cloud-billows arise. Nor tempest, nor calm, her serenity mars As she glides on her way to the groves of the stars! Prince Aki, 8th century
On the back
