The life
1803–1834
Jules Goury was a French architect who travelled with Owen Jones and in 1834 spent months drawing the Alhambra in Granada, measuring its tiles and ceilings. He died there of cholera that year. Jones finished their work and published it as Plans, Elevations, Sections and Details of the Alhambra (1842–45), the source of our two cards.
