The Frauenkirche, Dresden
Pictures by Heinrich Walter and Adolf Eltzner
The stone dome of Dresden's Frauenkirche rises over the Neumarkt in a hand-coloured photochrom from around 1895, with a balloon's-eye view of the city and the Elbe inside. Completed in 1743, the church was rebuilt and consecrated again in 2005 using many of its original stones. For a traveler, or someone with Dresden in their heart.
