Thank You So Much Magnolias

Pictures by Martin Johnson Heade

Martin Johnson Heade's white magnolias rest on soft blue velvet above a simple "Thank you so much," with a note inside saying their thoughtfulness truly made your day. Heade was an American painter of hummingbirds, orchids and magnolias, and he painted them with a naturalist's eye in soft light. For someone whose kindness you want to acknowledge.
