Sagittarius Reach Any Height
Pictures by Sidney HallWords by Belle Bart
Sidney Hall's Sagittarius, a centaur archer drawing his bow across a field of stars beside a laurel wreath and a golden telescope, carries Belle Bart's 1923 line: you can reach any height regardless of seeming limitations that may arise. The engraving comes from Urania's Mirror, an 1824 boxed set of hand-coloured constellation cards pierced so the stars shone through when held up to the light. For a Sagittarius, born November 22 to December 21.
