Rose, Heartsease and Sweet Pea
Pictures by Jacques Le Moyne de Morgues
A spray of rose, orchid, sweet pea and heartsease from Jacques Le Moyne de Morgues's sheet of flower studies wishes your sister a happy birthday, with the words 'Lucky me to have a sister like you.' Le Moyne was a French artist who sailed to Florida in 1564, and his watercolours still look fresh as the day they were painted. For a sister you feel lucky to have.
