Easier with Two
By the Picturepops™ team
Raijin the thunder god and Fujin the wind god sit down to a game of Go in this 18th-century Japanese painting, above the line "Storms are easier with two." Artists have paired these two gods for centuries, usually squabbling across the sky, and inside the card promises that whatever blows in, you are right there. For the friend who weathers every storm with you.

Inside, it says
RAIJIN AND FUJIN the friend who weathers every storm with you The thunder god and the wind god face every storm together. Whatever blows in, I'm right here with you. 雷風神神
On the back
雷風神神 / RAIJIN AND FUJIN / the friend who weathers every storm with you / Raijin, the Japanese thunder god, beats a ring of drums; Fujin, the wind god, carries the winds in a bag. Artists have paired them for centuries, squabbling in the sky or, as here, sitting down to a game of Go.
