Come Back Thundering
Pictures by Satake Eikai
Satake Eikai's Raijin, the Japanese god of thunder, leaps across the cover with his drumsticks raised, above the line "Even the thunder god drops his drum." In the folk paintings of Otsu, Raijin drops a drum into the sea and has to fish it back out, and inside the card tells its reader to rest up and come back thundering. For someone on the mend.
