active about 1850
T. Clark was a London publisher of about 1850, known to us only from the imprint on this chart. The Celestial Planisphere, or Transparent Star Director, was a star finder: a disc turned over the printed sky showed which stars were up at any hour of the night. Our card, The Celestial Planisphere, is that chart, with the Milky Way running like a river across a deep blue sky.
