The life
active about 1890
Mehmed Hulusi is known to us through one print: a hand-coloured lithograph of Izmir made around 1890, which the Austrian National Library records as drawn by him and printed in his own press, with its title in Ottoman Turkish. It shows the city rising up its hill above a harbour full of steamers and sailing ships. His name is on our card View of Smyrna, Izmir, beside an anonymous painting of the city from about 1720.
