The life
1836–1904Born Grenoble, France
Henri Fantin-Latour was a friend of Manet and Whistler and painted group portraits of the artists and writers of his day. He is best loved for his flowers: roses, pansies and summer bouquets painted with great tenderness, many of them bought by collectors in England. Our cards come from his flower paintings of the 1860s to 1880s.
