The life
1836–1878
Howard Heston Bailey drew panoramic views of Midwestern cities in the early 1870s and worked for many years as the partner of his younger brother, Oakley H. Bailey, who became one of the great names in the trade. In 1872 he drew a large bird’s-eye view of Milwaukee and, with Oakley, a view of Columbus, Ohio. His bird’s-eye view of Milwaukee is credited on our card, Milwaukee, Wisconsin Street.
