The Red-shouldered Hawk

Pictures by John James Audubon

Audubon's pair of red-shouldered hawks perch on a mossy branch above the words "For a wonderful Dad", with thanks inside for always being there. Audubon set out to paint every bird in America, and Robert Havell engraved his Birds of America life size. For a dad who has always been there.
