A Piece of String
Pictures by E. H. ShepardWords by A. A. Milne
E. H. Shepard's little fisherman sets off through the grass with his rod, basket and bait tin, paired with A. A. Milne's line, "He thinks I'm playing with a piece of string." The drawing comes from Milne's 1927 book of verse for children, which Shepard filled with his lively pen sketches. For anyone who loves a lazy day by the water or a favourite childhood book.
