The life
1865–1931Born Jericho, Vermont, USA
Wilson Bentley farmed in Jericho, Vermont, and spent his winters photographing snowflakes through a microscope. In 1885 he became the first person to photograph a single snow crystal, and he went on to make more than 5,000. His pictures made famous the idea that no two snowflakes are alike. Our snow crystal cards are his.
