The life
1840–1916Born Bordeaux, France
Odilon Redon spent his first decades working in black, in charcoal drawings and lithographs of strange, dreamlike visions. Around 1890 he turned to colour, and his late pastels and paintings of flowers, butterflies and myths glow like jewels. Our four cards, among them Bouquet of Flowers and Five Butterflies, come from those colourful years.
